Electrophysiology studies test the electrical action of your heart to discover where an arrhythmia (anomalous heartbeat) is coming from.These results can encourages us to choose whether we need medication, a pacemaker, an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD),  cardiac ablation or surgery. These examinations happen in an exceptional room called an electrophysiology (EP) lab or catheterization (cath)  lab while you are mildly sedated.

Cardiovascular electrophysiology is the study of clarifying, diagnosing, and treating the electrical exercises of the heart. The term is typically utilized in a clinical setting to describe studies of such phenomena by invasive (intracardiac)  catheter recording of unconstrained movement just as of heart reactions to modified electrical stimulation (PES)
