Recep Tayyip Erdogan University | Turkey
Gozde Yalc?n has focused on drug design strategies about neurodegenarative diseases especially Alzheimer's Disease for her scientific career. She has experience of computational drug design methods such as QSAR (quantitative structure - activity relationship) base pharmacophore modeling and molecular docking, besides computational protein engineering methods such as homology modeling and molecular dynamics simulation. She has novel anticancer drug molecules which were patented by Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and the negotiations about commercialization of these molecules have been continuing with some pharmaceutical companies (Turkish Patent Institute Application Number: 2013/13919). As well as the in vitro studies are in progress with new leader drug molecules for Alzheimer’s Diseases which were retrieved from her PhD thesis. She is carrying out her post-doctoral studies in Bioengineering Department of Recep Tayyip Erdogan University from Turkey as an Assistant Professor.
